Northwest Cruisers of Idaho – Great group of cruiser-heads who took us on a wonderful trail run through the snow

CIA Factbooks – All sorts of data on just about every country in the world. Some of it seems like it may not have been updated very recently or is based on early 90′s data.

National Geographic Xpeditions – Downloadable maps of the world, available with or without cities and towns. Handy for all sorts of stuff.

Metric-Standard Conversion Tables – Don’t know how many pounds there are in a Kilo? Want to see how far 500 kilometers is compared to your daily commute? This page makes it easy.

South American Explorers Club – Books, travel tips, maps, stories. We bought some stuff from them and weren’t terribly impressed by the production quality, and most of the information is anecdotal and/or based on a single experience. But it is a good resource.

Todos Santos Directory – Information on Todos Santos, Baja, and Scotland (really!) The owner, Ken MacFarlane, is a very nice guy who helped us update while on the road.

Driving to Mexico – Information from the Mexican government. Seems to be pretty solid advice.

Two Gypsies – Husband and wife team of fulltime travelers, Don Hardy and Rebecca Hill have written some very interesting essays about life in Mexico, USA, Canada, Portugal, Thailand, Nepal… and counting.  They share inspiring stories and beautiful photos.

Ihana.com – Two crazy brits who manage to get their Landy stuck all over Central and South America, in between trips to bars and discos and whatnot. Good photos, funny stories, wicked fun.

Land Cruiser in the TropicsWorld Record Tour – Pictures and stories of the 26-year-journey of Liliana and Emil Schmid through 168 countries in a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Africa Overland Network — Well done site with an extensive collection of links to overland trips, mostly Africa, some Australia and Americas. Most of the rigs are Rovers.

Land Cruiser around the worldwww.TransworldExpedition.com  Nicolas Rapp visited us in Tamarindo, on his way towards driving around the world in in fzj80 Land Cruiser.    He made it back to California in 2011.

Pacific Northwest Outdoor and Offroad Adventures – Offroad travel. Landruisers, good photos of the Pacific Northwest. Also some tech tips and some thoughts on all that is offroad travel. Worth a visit.

The New CruiserNew Cruiser – Robin and Raenelle Travel in Central America and Canada in a very cool custom built aluminum Land Cruiser. They stopped in on us in Tamarindo and we had a great time (twice)!
