This would be funny if it weren't based on real current events.

Steve is an evolutionary biologist by training, so he's having a tough time embracing this FSM theory of creation. Neither of us is particularly fond of midget pirates, either.

Landcruiser Information

I was going to post this to our link page, but I'm too lazy.
There is a huge community of Landcruiser enthusiasts out there, many of them congregate on a certain website callled Ih8mud.com Silly name, great content. Take a look, or don't, it's a free internet, after all.

Beach, Bingo, Great Food....

How can you go wrong with that combination?
As the title suggests, we spent Sunday at the beach, until we fled the rain straight into a bingo game at a wet, crowded bar with lukewarm beer. That may not sound fun, but it was, and certainly beat the heck out of strolling in the downpour. When the rain finally let up some we headed onward to what is quickly becoming a favorite restaurant, where we had a great afternoon. Check out the pictures, some of them aren't bad. Didn't catch any pictures of the fabulous breakfast that we ate before going to the beach, but it involved some of the best gallo pinto (rice and beans) we've tried, along with home-cured bacon and some eggs. Not exactly health food, but darn tasty.

Caly Still Barks

This one is for my nephew, Spencer, who is delighted each time he sees an old video of Caly barking (the file is in WMV format).

A Fresh Perspective

Our friend Lorelle is writing about her visit to Costa Rica. Fun, fresh views on things that we overlook. Take a look and enjoy.
Hopefully her journal will inspire us to update ours more frequently.

Surfing Avellanas

One of the many great things about having parents visit is that all the little things that we do as a matter of daily life have the potential to be interesting through their eyes.
While down in Avellanas for the afternoon, Mom took a few pictures of Steve surfing. The waves were mushy and the lighting wasn't great, but we'll share two pics anyway.
